The Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation Kungirotboy Sharipov spoke at the opening of the conference and congratulated the conference participants.
"...that professors and teachers, researchers and talented students of universities are carrying out 14 research projects aimed at developing the tourism sector, that today extensive work is being done to develop scientific tourism and that this new direction of tourism will make a great contribution to the development of both industry and science," the minister said in his speech.
Following the event, Minister K. Sharipov was awarded the title of Honorary Professor of the Research Institute for Tourism Development.
It is worth noting that 11 higher education institutions in our country are attached to 30 districts, within which systematic work is being carried out to improve the scientific approach in the field and establish the integration of theory and practice.
