The parties discussed opportunities for enhancing energy efficiency, modernizing heating systems, and implementing joint projects to introduce innovative approaches in various economic sectors. In this context, the potential signing of a memorandum of cooperation in the energy sector was also considered.
The Austrian delegation proposed establishing cooperation in the following three priority areas:
· Digitalization of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (SMEs): optimizing the operations of individual entrepreneurs and small businesses through modern technologies and creating favorable conditions for their development;
· Digitalization of Tax Audits and Tax Compliance: implementing digital systems to ensure transparency, monitoring, and efficiency in fiscal management;
· Cybersecurity and Legal Framework Development: introducing advanced practices in information security and supporting improvements in the relevant legal and institutional environment.
The Uzbek side emphasized the importance of adopting energy-saving technologies and studying Austria’s experience in implementing “smart” solutions in urban development and infrastructure, as well as the need to develop joint projects in these areas.
This meeting is expected to contribute to elevating economic and technological cooperation between Uzbekistan and Austria to a new level and supporting mutually beneficial initiatives.
